Smokey Eye make up is in Fashion!!! its funky and its SEXY! Everyone wants to learn how to get Smokey eyes! So many try and fail to get the exact look! Some succeed after spending hours and hours in giving the sexy look. Few complaint that they don't get what they want and spend like anything to try different Smokey shadows. Few have the stuff but don't know what to do with it and end up looking scary! lol
With no proper eyebrows done and unclean skin ... plus wrong brushes and wrong way of application is the reason of not having the exact Smokey eyes.
There are so many options in the market and Saloons are always there but one thinks about the prices more than the service! well its ok i feel the same. So yeah am gona show how i do it. You may have so many options. I am gona show you the basic way to do it. Some say its the formal look. Plus am gona show how you can customize it to more rich look for parties etc in just one step!
Ok the first thing you need to have well shaped and clean Eyebrows (full clean face much appreciated).
Eyebrows do play an important role in the looks! The best suited for this make up is the "ARCH" shape as seen above. You will understand why as you read the process.

Process.
- I always Clean the face, tone and moisturize it.
- I then apply Foundation Primer [Foundation primer is a relatively new product offered on the market. It creates a barrier between your skin & the foundation and helps the foundation go on smoothly. ]
- Apply my base foundation followed by a concealer (Never apply concealer first)
- If you wish to put base eyeshadow its your choice. (Concealer works fine for me as a base).
- Using the MAC 212 Flat Definer Brush I apply the MAC black eyeshadow over the eye lids and Crease line if you wish to have broader application. But best to avoid it.
- I then Apply eyeliner and smudge either with my finger or ear bud.
- Later with the same MAC black eyeshadow i draw fine lines below the eyes and then smudge it with fingers accordingly.
- I apply the highlighters under the eyebrow line. (Apply very little and spread it well)
- Lastly I apply my Maybelline Lash Stylist Mascara.
There you go!! You have the formal look.

- I apply the Bourjois Ombre A Paupieres Eyeshadow all over the eyelid and crease line with its given brush. I use it as a shimmer. Reapply the highlighter and Mascara.
The only thing is this reading this procedure is long because i had to explain you briefly about the tools and products to get your makeup technique right!
To give the finish look I apply Blush, Lip gloss and Finishing powder (to keep my skin matte or not too shiny)
The overall make up will look something like this:
I bought the Bourjois shimmer shadow from Lifestyle at Centrepoint Mall...it's very much available in Doha!! It's a great product, you could wet the brush and then use it to apply the shadow for some added effect.
