Minimize or taking care of Dark circles around/under the Eyes

Dark circles is a common problem faced by most of us. Now before you do any external treatment for DC, it's very important to know if there are any internal factors that has caused them. Check these:

1. Inadequate Sleep: Do you sleep well for 8 to 9 hours? Lack of sleep will lead to dark circles.
2. Nasal Blockage/Congestion: This can lead to DC, coz the veins that drain from your eyes to your nose are dilated. A good way to help your nasal blockage is get a Pressure Point massage. This gives instant relief.
3. Pigmentation: Any pigmentation irregularities can cause DC.
4. Sun exposure: How many hours in a day do you expose yourself in the sun? As this leads to melanin production.
5. Diet: Lack of healthy consumption of food, excessive caffeine/alcohol, no exercise, smoking all these will cause DC
6. Heredity: This could run in your family but this does not mean you cannot do anything to minimize it.

After analysing all of the above, you tend to get where you have lacked then work on it. If its lack of sleep, then get your beauty sleep. If its smoking or intake of caffeine, then reduce them.

Natural Remedies like keeping slice of Cucumber, Potato or keeping Green Tea bags will help you eventually but to get quick results you'll only get them from your cosmetics.

Avoid rubbing your eyes, coz you are allowing germs and this can cause allergies. Include lots of veg in your diet. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water. Use good quality products for your skin.

Apply brightening masks to help reduce the darkness around eyes and face.

Use of Eye Lash Primer

Firstly it helps in priming your lashes i.e it prepares a base to apply your mascara. It helps in giving volume to your lashes, making it look thicker and longer. It also helps in strengthening them and does not clumps the application of Mascara. Majority of primers comes in white color, which makes it easy to see where it has been applied. You must have seen Mascara with double tube on either side with the same wand. One is in Black and another in White. So first you should apply the white, then apply the black and you will see a huge difference. You can test on your eyes to see the difference, one with primer and one w/o primer. Many do not know the purpose of this and so they tend to ignore priming. Priming also makes a barrier between your lashes and mascara by protecting it. Just like you would wear a face primer before foundation.

This step is important and you should practice the use of Lash primers. Nobody wants to have eyeless lashes yeah? Primers comes as separate products too with different names such Eye lash Activator, Eye lash Voluminizer, Eye Lash Portions etc Not necessary it should be in white, but yeah most of the dual ones do have white base to help you make out the difference.

Some best drug store brands are Bourjois, Loreal, Maybelline, Cover girl, Max Factor etc which also has step guide on them like Step 1&2. High end pro which I love the most is Lancome's Cils Booster XL, MAC Prep + Prime Eye Lash and Sephora's 7in7 kits Eye lash activator.
