Pamper yourself more with Paraffin Wax Treatment

Paraffin Wax is one of the talked about treatment for its good results in the SPA services for treating. Dry skin and dermatitis can be treated with paraffin.. Paraffin Wax treatment is done for softening, smoothing and moisturizing Hands and Feet. It's mostly done in the Spa as a part of Manicure and Pedicure.  Paraffin treatments are luxurious and affordable. Infused with aromatherapy and essential oils, a hand treatment is an enjoyable add-on to any salon service.

What is Paraffin?

Paraffin is a by-product of petroleum. It helps seal in moisture to the skin. It was originally used in candles, but has a low heat melting point. Paraffin wax comes in a large variety of colors and scents. It is often infused with essential oils.

How does Paraffin works?
The wax creates a seal and allows moisture to penetrate deep into the skin. Heat from the wax allows pores to open and skin becomes soft and smooth

Treatment:
Paraffin treatments are performed before a manicure or pedicure. The hands and feet are cleansed with soap and water or sanitizer. Lotion or penetrating oil is then applied to the hands and massaged into the skin. The hands and feet are submerged into the heated wax. Usually the hands and feet are coated with three to five layers of wax. Hands and feet are then covered in plastic and warm mitts. The paraffin remains on the skin for up to 10 minutes.

Removal:
Paraffin wax is easy to remove from the skin. The therapist/technician will leave the plastic on the hands and feet. Starting at the wrist, the wax will be loosened by gentle massage. The wax will then be peeled off the skin and should come off when the plastic is slid off the hands. The same way feet wax is removed.

The above picture I had taken at the academy while practicing, haha yes that is my hand and foot wax model!!

Safe Method:
If you have a salon/spa, then use two different wax pots for hands and feet for hygiene purpose.

Other Paraffin Wax treatments:
Elbows and knees can also benefit from a paraffin treatment. The paraffin is brushed onto the elbows and knees and results in soft skin.

Enjoy the feel of your smooth and soft skin.

Stay Healthy and Beautiful ;)
