Tips for Facial Care in Summer

Summer is here and everyone is worried. Esp. about Face, as its the most uncovered part of the body. Summer is harsh on the skin and so one has to take really good care. I have oily skin and so it's really must for me to take good care. Listed below are few simple things which I do to take care of face in Summer, guess it will help you too ;)

  • Drink 8 to 11 glasses of water in a day or at one time. It's Summer girls!! so drinking plenty of water is something you should feel you cant stay without!

  • Splash face 3 to 4 times with cold water.
  • Use any Gentle/mild facial cleanser/gel if you have oily/sensitive skin, if you have normal to combination skin then go for Foam cleansers. Recommend Dove.
  • Use scrubs only if needed. Most of the girls think it's Summer so lets buy scrubs. In Summer skin tends to get very sensitive and scrubbing makes your skin extremely dry rather making it smooth.

  • Rose water is very very useful. This is very very common product when comes for facial care. I love this stuff! My mom used to tell me to apply it on my face since I have oily skin. Ever since I took her words into consideration, found the difference. Just in few weeks. It's in my daily regime of facial care now. I use it as a toner.
  • Now this is the time when you done with cleaning and toning, you have to wipe your face. Most of the friends whom I have seen, vigorously clean their face with towels. Let me tell you here doing this is SO WRONG!. Don't wipe your face so harshly! Just dab with the towel or soft tissue.
  • Moisturize your face. Use the day and night cream accordingly. Day cream optimally hydrates your skin providing moisture and supporting its natural balance all day long. Night cream helps in cell renewal, speeding up the creation of new, healthy skin cells. While you are sleeping, your skin is revived & regenerated from deep within. Your complexion look healthy and visibly revived in the morning.
  • Massage your face while applying moisturizer. It helps in giving your facial skin a lift.

Splash water on your face with cold water 3 to 4 times a day. It will reduce the oil secretion near the T-zone area of your face.

Avoid going in the sun a lot. Apply Sun screen lotion/ Sun Protection cream/Sun guard etc SPF 15 minimum, 30 mins before going in the sun. It takes time to absorbs into the skin and it's very important to absorb or it won't protect your skin. Kenoz's "Face Guard Veil anti-aggression" is my favorite sun guard. It works great on my skin and I love it! I apply the sun screen lotion and after every 2 hours I give touch ups of Kenzo' Face guard. It protects my skin from light, sun etc and keep my skin matte through out the day. It's all in one moisturizer and sun guard! I will definitely recommend you this product. You may buy this product from Merch Mall in Qatar.

Pamper your skin during the Summer season by having a SPA facial. It really makes you feel relaxed and helps your facial skin to breathe and fresh.

Try applying less make up in summer. There are chances that your skin might feel irritation.

If possible rub your face with "Ice-cubes/packs". It really soothes the skin and also help in lightening the skin which is easily reddened or irritated coz of the sun' heat. I do it once a week.

Please note that follow one regime thru out. Do not try many products and new regime everyday. It will irritate your skin. One regime through out will make your skin used to it and it will give good results.

Always be calm and soft while cleaning, toning or applying on your face. Harsh practice can leave marks and these marks are tough to get rid of!

Drink a lot of Fresh Juices and have lots of Fruits. In Summer you tend to dehydrate and inadequate amount of vitamins and minerals in your body can make you weak and worn out!

Apply Yogurt, Honey, Cucumber's masks on your face daily or once a week. [I will have a separate topic on home-made masks, so stay tuned ;)]

And yes, use umbrella, caps, hats etc etc to protect you from the heat.

Stay Beautiful ;)
AK.
